We had a short but sweet marketing meeting on 12th September - with the aim to get feedback on resources that we had developed to help promote the survey, trials, and other projects this new academic year.
Jemima explained that all the materials had originally been designed with students but had been updated, so we wanted to get everyone's thought on the content, colours, and graphics.
We also wanted feedback on whether there should be one or two slides for the lecture shout-outs.
You can access the slides here:
(these have the content in that we discussed!)
The students all agreed that we need to only have one QR code in the lecture shout outs to avoid confusion. Also, that we should make it clear in the promo that the survey and research is to improve student mental health, as this isn't clear in one of the lecture slides, or one of the social media adverts.
General feedback was positive, with a few small tweaks which Jemima has now integrated into the finished products.
There were suggestions to try and promote through personal tutors (this is hard but we'll try!) and different places to put flyers on campus. There was suggestion of better incentives (e.g. free coffee for everyone) but unfortunately we can't do this with our budget!
There was also suggestions to incentivise societies to share (e.g. up to £50) which Jemima is going to look into.
Thanks so much to all who came! Look out for Nurture-U on campus/social media and share where you can!
